Hear From Teachers Who’ve Raised Funds With ClassroomsCount™

“My campaign enabled me to provide options and resources to many students who might not have opportunities to read or buy books of their own. My students love books and I want to encourage reading and provide resources for them.”

– Amir L., ClassroomsCount™ teacher in Chicago, IL

“My students have been so excited and so thankful. When they see that red and white Scholastic box sitting on my reading table, they cannot wait for me to open it so we can ‘oooh and ahhh’ over the titles. I always tell them who contributed funds and what my relationship is with that person to help my students have a more personal connection.”

– Melissa C., ClassroomsCount™ teacher in Baytown, TX

“With the success of my campaign this year, I am now raising funds for all of the kindergarten classes in my school. My students get so excited to get their books and I hype up the day we get them — so I'm excited as well! I even bought a self-inking stamp for the back of the books. It says, "This book is from Mrs. B! I love you!"

– Brandi B., ClassroomsCount™ teacher in Virginia Beach, VA

Inspire a Love of Reading in Every Student

Teacher: Janna H.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Harvey, and I teach 1st grade at Legacy Traditional Elementary School. I’m raising funds to restock my classroom library. I hope these books inspire my students to read with their families. Children are taught how to read at school, but the real joy of reading is found at home. When you become a book fairy by contributing to my campaign, you’ll help me raise $300 toward building our classroom library, which will benefit kids for years to come. With your support, I’ll be able to choose books that reflect the interests of every student in my class. Will you become a Book Fairy for my students? Thank you for your support!

Stepping Back And Making History Come Alive

Teacher: Nancy B.

Would you like to be a book fairy??? I am a 4th grade elementary teacher. I have taught math for many, many years and will move into 4th grade social studies and science in the fall. I have read some of the "I Survived" series with my grandson and was so impressed how the series totally engrossed him (well, me too). I would love the opportunity to share with my students next year. We have a set time each afternoon to read to our students and I would like to share this historical fiction series with them. Thank you in advance for investing in my future young historians.

Help Me Update My Classroom Library

Teacher: Lauryn T.

I am moving up to third grade! Because of this, I would like to get some new books at these kiddos' reading levels. I would like to add to my chapter book collection as I already have many picture books! Any help would be appreciated!

Every Child Gets A Book Every Month of School

Teacher: Erin H.

I am so excited to continue this tradition of having sponsors pay for each child to get a book every month of school. This is my 6th year of being able to campaign successfully! The kids get so excited and love that they get to keep these books. It is $20 to sponsor one child. Thank you so much for your support!

For the love of reading

Teacher: Anabel V.

My name is Mrs. Villarreal and I teach 5th grade at Havard Elementary. I’m raising funds to give each of my 32 students at least two books monthly — one fiction book and two nonfiction books. I hope that these books will inspire my students to read with their families. When you become a gracious donor by contributing to my campaign, you’ll help me raise $500 to send books home with students. With your support, I’ll be able to choose books that reflect the interests of every student in my class. Thank you for your support! -Mrs. Villarreal

Putting Books In My Students Hands

Teacher: Becky G.

My students love books! I want to be able to provide books for my students that they can take home to spread their love for reading and literacy. I can purchase books from Scholastic for a cheaper price of $2 a book throughout the year. I would like to be able to give my kindergarteners a new book each month of the year that they can take home. I have done this for years and the students get so excited that they get to keep the books. I need help with the funds to help make this happen. You can sponsor one students for $20 of you can just donate any amount as anything helps make this happen. Thank you for showing my students that reading and literacy is important.

Good things come to those who read

Teacher: Erica de H.

Hello! My name is Erica De Hoyos and I am the Reading Specialist at Heritage Elementary School. My number 1 goal is to encourage the love of reading for all students on my campus, despite their reading level. We currently have a vending machine that we use as an incentive for students who meet various reading challenges. This campaign will allow us to fill our vending machine with books in both English and Spanish for our students. Thank you so much for supporting this campaign and for helping develop the love of reading for our students.

Read in Every Language

Teacher: Kristy P.

This year, I have the joy of teaching two incredible students who light up every time they find a book in Spanish. Watching them curl up with stories that reflect their language and culture has shown me just how powerful representation in reading can be. Unfortunately, our classroom library doesn’t yet have a dedicated section for Spanish books—but I want to change that. With your help, I hope to build a Spanish-language collection right inside our classroom, so that these students—and many more to come—can find stories that feel familiar, empowering, and welcoming. Every dollar donated will go directly to purchasing Spanish books chosen with care to support bilingual literacy and a love for reading. Your support will help us make sure that every student, no matter what language she speaks, can see herself in a story. Help us turn the page toward inclusion—let’s make “Read in Every Language” a reality.

Building Readers

Teacher: Jessica W.

Hi there! I am Mrs. Williams, and I teach upper-school English Language Arts at MJCA. In 2020, our school lost our upper-school library in a destructive tornado. I now have the goal of building a classroom library for upper-school students to come to browse and check-out books. I am starting with 35 books from my personal library, but I need more diversity and varying Lexile reading levels to offer for grades 6-12. Your support will help me raise money to fill our classroom library with new books. My goal is to help students become lifelong readers, and your contribution will help me achieve that goal! Please consider becoming a book fairy and contributing today. Thank you so much!! :) -Mrs. W
