I want to make my sixth-grade students lifelong readers. In my opinion, students need to make connections in the text to draw them in. This is done by introducing them to authors during their time period. After teaching for 22-years, several of my books are outdated and don't meet the needs of my culturally diverse population. Please help me put current titles in my classroom library. Once they've been drawn in, they can go back to read the classics.
