I am hoping to get enough donations and sponsors to cover the cost to provide my students with a free book to bring home each month of the school year. Each month, I send home Scholastic Book Club flyers for families to purchase books for their children if they are able. Unfortunately, it is hard for some families to afford the “extras” for books during financially hard times. I feel it is so important to get new and exciting books in the hands of our children, not just at school, but at home as well! If I am able to raise the funds, it would mean that by the end of Kindergarten each child would have 10 books to have at their home to keep! I will send home one book at the end of each month during the school year! Any remaining funds raised will be used to purchase books as holiday gifts or end of the school year gifts for each student!
