Summer is almost over and many kids are back in school, but I hope this summer of reading has inspired your child to keep reading all year long. All it takes is one book to get a child hooked on reading, but if she or he hasn’t found it yet, don’t give up! Keep visiting the library with your child. Keep adding to your wide array of books in the home. Keep letting your child see you reading. Keep talking to your child about books. Soon enough, he or she will find a book that makes him or her understand why reading is so wonderful. These tales of outdoor adventure might help your child get excited about reading.
