Hi! My name is Jessica, and I teach 6th grade Language Arts in Austintown, Ohio. Striving to provide a comfortable and engaging learning environment is my first priority as an educator. In my class, middle school students are engaged in learning to become better readers and writers through interdisciplinary and project-based learning. My students are motivated through project-based lessons, student and teacher led learning, and videos to become independent readers of fiction and nonfiction and writers of explanatory and argumentative texts. To increase the diversity of texts in our classroom, and effectively represent all cultures and disciplines, I'm reaching out to my community to raise funds to purchase a diverse collection of books.
