I am a second year teacher. As I taught first grade for the 19-20 school year, I found that my students soak up any chance they can get to read independently or with a partner. I do not have a large classroom library built up yet, but would love to have a large selection (a dream classroom library) for my students this year. They love all the fictional picture books, but I would also like to incorporate nonfiction as well. I want high quality books that are engaging and educational. It will help them with independent learning, intellectual curiosity, and hopefully spark a forever love of reading.
