Hello There! My name is Adrienne and this is my first time teaching a bilingual 4th grade class. I am very excited and can't wait to get started. Though I will be entering into my seventh year of teaching, this will be my first year teaching in this grade but also a classroom predominantly made up of ESL students. In addition, I believe that it would be great to provide my students with books where they can see characters that resemble them. My goal is to cultivate a LOVE of reading and learning. I want my students to look forward to coming to school, not only to see their friends but also to find a story that they can relate to. I believe the $300 to begin that classroom library would be a great start to reaching that goal!
