I am the Title I Reading teacher at a small, rural Mid-Michigan school. One of the many challenges some of my students face is access to high quality books. To help with this, I have created a Birthday Book Cart. Every month I go around and students who have a Birthday that month get to pick out a book and a bookmark. (Summer birthdays are not forgotten) The book Cart brings so much joy to our students (and staff). I love using funds from Scholastic because the books are always popular and high quality. I am also able to stack my "bonus points" to get additional books for free. Any donation helps!
