I would like to foster a sense of wonder into the lives of my students through reading. I teach middle school math but believe that a well-rounded student makes the best student. There are many things students can learn from reading. They can learn about different places, cultures, people, animals, and things. It could get a child thinking about a future career, invention, or ways to make this planet a better place. I strive to make my students well-rounded citizens for our up-and-coming global community and what better way to do this than to get them reading. I plan to work very close with my language arts partner to help with their reading goals. So, the funds will go to purchasing books for our classroom library.
