Establishing a LOVE for books and reading has to start as early as possible. Helping learners see the beauty in books and the adventures they can go on within their pages is fundamental and something that I hope to accomplish during their first year at school. Each month Scholastic features a picture book that they offer on sale for less than $2 per book. This means that I could get a new book each month for a learner for only $20. By donating $20, you are effectively sponsoring a child and buying him/her a new book each month for the entire school year! It is my hope that by being able to give our learners a book that they can take home and call their own each month, we can keep them engaged and excited about the amazing adventure that reading can take them on. There's no better feeling than the emotion you get when you open a brand new book and you know it's all yours, and by sponsoring one of my Kinders you can give them that feeling each month. :)
