Hi there, it is my first year teaching 3rd grade at the Trimont Elementary. I launched this campaign to fill my classroom library with a variety of books! I have a pretty good start by bringing my home library to school, but I’d love to offer books of every genre. One of the biggest joys of teaching is seeing a student fall in love with a book. It is important to have a variety of books so that the students can read things that they are interested in. Some students might be interested in books about animals, while others love sports or history. Not only are students interested in different things, but they all read at different levels, so having a variety of leveled books is so important! I can only be the teacher I want to be if I can help my students become better readers. The most effective way to do this is to fill my classroom library with a diverse collection of books across a variety of levels. Your support will help me raise $500 to fill my classroom library with brand new books (not just my own well-loved library).
