Hello! My name is Hannah Knerr and I am a fourth grade teacher in central Indiana. The school I work at has 30% low-income students that receive free or reduced lunch. Many of my students often voice that they do not have any books at home to read. Did you know that reading every day for at least 30 minutes can significantly reduce stress levels by up to 68%, improve cognitive function, enhance vocabulary, increase empathy, and even potentially extend lifespan? My dream is that all of my students can take home at least six $2 books this year to grow their at-home collection and to instill a love for reading! Thank you!
