As the end of this unique academic year comes quickly, I wanted to take the opportunity to try this campaign idea from Scholastic - to get a book into the hands of each of the 2nd Graders at my school as a year end gift. I would love to see each of my students become fluent readers and this could be the stepping stone! Now, if monies raised exceed the goal I set, I would get more books for more kids in the elementary grades - the more books for kids, the better, eh?
