Greetings! I am Ms. Abernathy, and I teach 8th grade at Westwood Middle School. This has been one of the best years I have ever had. My students take two end of year tests --writing and reading. This year they more than doubled previous years pass rates on the writing test. It was also the first year I have ever seen an advanced score on a writing test. Two of my most favorite things are holiday ornaments and books. I would like to gift my students with the Scholastic book ornaments at the end of the year, in hopes they will never forget me or the successful year they have had.
