Hi there, I’m Ms Martinez and I teach preschoolers at Community Parents Inc Brooklyn NY. I launched this campaign to get more books in my students’ hands by expanding our classroom library. As an educator I have seeing that my students show curiosity and start meaningful conversations throughout the days because of their passion interacting with books. But it’s not always easy to bring stories that relate to our month’s theme or books that bring socio emotional insights to their interests. Some of my students are interested in books about science , while others love cooking or emotions. Not only are my students interested in different topics, but I like to introduce more socio emotional and team building stories so they make connections to their daily interactions. Hopefully with your support my students will now be exposed to more fun reading experiences. The most effective way to do this is to fill my classroom library with a diverse collection of books across a variety of levels.
