Reading is such an important part of learning history and I would love to inspire a love for reading and build relationships with students through a book club style approach. Readers Workshop is a practice that has been used in language arts classes for decades and I would like to bring that approach to social studies. Each student would receive a copy of George vs. George from National Geographic. Students would read the book and work with me in small groups to break down the history. I have five classes with up to 36 students in each class. This book is a great value through Scholastic, so I am asking for $1,250 to cover the cost of 180 books for students and 1 copy for the teacher, plus shipping. Your donation would impact 180 public school students. Thank you for your support!
