I teach third grade at a high needs school in Philadelphia. Many of my students do not have books at home so I have two goals. First I went to have quality books to used during shared reading. Books that excite my students and foster their love for reading, as well as build fluency and comprehension skills. Second, I want my students to be able to keep these books so they can read them over and over, and build a library of their own at home.
