I teach 1st Grade at KI Jones in Fairfield. Reading the the foundation of everything students will learn throughout their entire academic career. The feeling I get when a student makes leaps in their reading ability and gets excited to read a new book is indescribable. For me, choosing books for my students that are at their level is essential. Often times, students or parents will unintentionally choose books that are either too easy or way too hard and then the book isn’t accessible to them. This holiday season, I would love nothing more than to be able to gift every student in my class one new book that is theirs to keep. Any help you could give to make this hope a reality would be much appreciated!
