Hello, my name is Sunni Maia McKinney, and I am the new Pre-K Montessori teacher at Palmer Park Preparatory Academy in Detroit, MI. I have a deep love for reading, which I eagerly share with my young students. I am reaching out to invite you to support my goal of enriching my 3 to 6-year-old students with a diverse collection of books. These books will be read aloud, added to our library, and made available for checkout from our classroom book nook. With the 500 dollars from my campaign, I plan to enhance our burgeoning book nook with an array of leveled readers, books incorporating math and cultural themes, and selections that cater to the students' interests such as vehicles, animals, science, art, and more. Additionally, I aim to include books that introduce young minds to social/emotional learning, mindfulness, and peace.
