Hi, I’m Vickie and I teach 1st grade. Children are taught how to read at school, but the real joy of reading is found at home with their families. Research shows that having books at home is a top predictor of a child's overall academic success. Can you help me give my students the opportunity to grow their home library? I will have about 35 students in my two classes this year. I want to send a new book home with each child every month. My target is to raise $700 to purchase books to send home with students.
