Last year, several of my fellow teachers were able to purchase 1 book per month for each student in their class. The kids faces lit up each time they were handed a book and told it was theirs to keep! I want to join this campaign and see that smile on my students faces! Reading each day and even holding books and looking at them promotes literacy and a love of learning! Let's get these kiddos started off right! This year especially, it is going to be important that kids have books at home!!
