Teacher Margo Cherrie-Clark
I’m a special education teacher for a wonderful group of 2nd and 3rd grade students with autism. In our classroom, books are a powerful tool for learning, building confidence, and making meaningful connections. My students are developing decoding skills, exploring longer texts, and growing into thoughtful, curious readers. Many of them are drawn to books with strong visual support, such as graphic novels, high-interest nonfiction, and stories with diverse, relatable characters. With your support, I’m working to build a classroom library filled with inclusive and engaging books—ones that reflect my students’ strengths, spark their imaginations, and help them feel seen. Every contribution helps us create a reading environment where all students can thrive and discover the joy of books in ways that work best for them. Thank you for supporting our readers!
