If you know me well, you know how much I love reading and how important I feel it is. In 2022, I read 36 books during my free time! Next fall, I will be entering my 5th year of teaching. Over the past 4 years, I have been teaching elementary special education. However, I will be starting a new position as a middle school special education teacher. My classroom library is in need of books appropriate for grades 6-8. In addition, garage sales and Goodwill have supplied my classroom library until recently. My books are outdated, damaged, and do not discuss engaging and important topics as much as I would like. I am also working to include books of various cultures, races, ethnicities, abilities, etc. Revamping my classroom library will take a lot of money.
