Hi! I’m getting ready for the school year and building a classroom library for my incoming 1st grade students — many of whom are bilingual Spanish and English speakers. I want every child to feel excited to read, and that starts with books they can connect with. We’re looking for stories that reflect their cultures, celebrate diversity, and match their interests — from animals and adventures to friendship, family, and fun. With a wide range of reading levels, having books that are engaging, inclusive, and accessible is so important.
