Hello family and friends! I am an Early Learning Specialist for ECEAP, an early learning program that offers free preschool for at-risk three to four year olds. YES, you heard right! AT-RISK THREE TO FOUR YEAR OLDS. What kind of risks you ask? Poverty, homelessness, food insecure, foster children, health, abuse and neglect... you name it! These children and families enter our program with MANY adverse experiences and with the pandemic this year, it has been tough to provide them with appropriate assistance. These materials will be added to their learning kits (sent out each month) to ensure students have the materials they need to continue to learn and grow at home. We have a total of 120 students this year and are aim to provide the same materials for all children because EQUITY is very important to us.
