It is critical we start and keep conversations going about the inequalities and injustices our minorities face. Our young people have the power to create change. As Benjamin Franklin declared, "Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are." It is through books we can help our young people build an understanding of our nation's history and the injustices that many have faced. Our book club will center around the importance of difficult conversations, understanding, and more importantly moving to create change.
