I work in a second grade classroom at a Title 1 school in Maine. While the student's lives can be challenging outside of the school, inside, we try to create a community that cares, shares, and grows together. One of the best ways to grow, is through reading books. The more books we have, the more opportunities for learning and growth. Along with that reading, comes well-loved books that eventually fall apart. There are always new books coming out each year as well, so a classroom library needs to be restocked and replaced.
