Hello. My name is Victoria and I teach kindergarten at Pottenger Elementary. My students are never more attentive and engaged than when we are reading a good book together. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic and school closures, has made our story time harder to conduct. My students are spending more time in front of a screen to learn than ever before. Kindergarten is a crucial time to teach children about the joys of reading and school closures has made that very difficult. This is especially hard when students may not have access to books at home. That's why I'm asking for your help to raise money, so that I can send books home with my students. This way they will have access to books to read with parents, siblings, or enjoy on their own. Please help bring some joy to to my sweet, smart, and inquisitive little students!
