I work in a Title I school in Albuquerque, NM, where every day I walk into my classroom with a single mission: to ignite a lifelong love of reading in my students. My deepest passion is introducing them to diverse novels and powerful voices; stories that reflect who they are, challenge how they see the world, and remind them that their own voices matter too. I believe that when a student discovers a book that speaks to their heart, something shifts. Reading becomes more than an assignment. It becomes a lifeline, a mirror, and a doorway. By helping each student connect with authors and stories that inspire them, I am not just encouraging them to keep turning pages.
