I am a first year teacher in third grade. When I was in school, I didn't have many books to pick from. My parents did not speak English, and most books were in English. Now as I look at my first group of students, I want to give them the opportunity I didn't have. I have multiple students who speak Spanish. I want them to be able to take a book in Spanish home to share and read with their family.
