Hello! My name is Claire and I teach 4th Grade at Citizenship Academy. I am trying to raise funds add more responsive, engaging, and diverse books to my classroom library. My favorite part of each day is DEAR time, when all students Drop Everything And Read. There is something so inspirational about seeing 25 4th Graders eager and excited to read. I have a classroom library my students currently use, but time is certainly wearing on these books. I hope to provide my students with books that can serve as "mirrors and windows" to their world, showing them a variety of characters, perspectives, and situations. With your support, I’ll be able to choose books that reflect the interests of every student in my class, helping foster the Love of Reading in more of today's youth.
