Hi there! My name is Jennie and I teach Strategies K-5 at Roger Corbett Elementary School. Strategies is a self-contained classroom for students with Autism. I’m raising funds to provide my students with a variety of books to take home with them. The only "homework" that my students receive is to read with their parents for 15-20 mins each night. This will help inspire them and excite them to open a new book (and reading more :) ). I hope that these books will inspire my students to read with their families. Children are taught how to read at school, but the real joy of reading is found at home. When children read with their parents it also strengthens their bond and helps develop stronger relationships. When you contribute to my campaign, you’ll help me raise $300 to send books home with my students. Any extra funds will go toward building our classroom library and will benefit kids for years to come.
