Hello! My name is Heather Erb, and I am the librarian at the Glendo Public School. We are raising funds for 30 students, 27 students attend the Glendo Public School, and the other three students attend the Glendo Day Program by NEWBoces. I’m raising funds to give every student that attends our schools at least one book monthly. (My dream would be two! Their choice of one fiction book and one nonfiction book.) With the high cost of books, as well as with the economy, it is a challenge for many families to purchase books for their children. I hope that these books will inspire students to read with their families. Children are taught how to read at school, but the real joy of reading is found at home. When you become a Book Fairy by contributing to my campaign, you’ll help me raise funds to send books home with students. Any extra funds will go toward building our classroom library and will benefit children for years to come, as well as surprising younger siblings with their very own book.
