Hi there, I’m Ms. Michelle and I teach 4th - 6th grades with Utah Schools for the Deaf. I launched this new campaign to purchase books for my students to learn to read second grade chapter books. One of the biggest joys of teaching is seeing a student fall in love with a book. But it’s not always easy to get Deaf students who have been language deprived up to read at their grade level. I can only be the teacher I want to be if I can help my students become better readers. The most effective way to do this is to have the whole series of high interest to inspire students to keep practicing reading. The series is called Dragon Masters. This year, 2024, is also Year of the Dragon. I know my students will love this series. Your support will help me raise $100 to purchase the rest of the series.
