Hello! My name is Lindsey and I teach 1st and 2nd grade students with special needs at Reddick Elementary, in Wimauma, Florida. I’m raising funds to give each of my students a book monthly. Many of my students’ families cannot afford to purchase books of their own or have access to children’s books. I hope that these books will inspire my students to read with their families and build their skills as readers. Children are taught how to read at school, but need continued practice with skills at home. The real joy of reading is found when a child can share a book with loved ones. When you become a Book Fairy by contributing to my campaign, you’ll help me raise $500 to send books home with students. Any extra funds will go toward building our classroom library and will benefit kids for years to come.
