Hi, I’m Mrs. Hetrick, and I teach a transition resource class of K-4th graders. Children are taught how to read at school, but a true love of reading happens when students begin reading outside of the school walls. Can you help me give my students the opportunity to grow their home library? I will have 10 students in my class this coming school year. I want to send each child home with a new book every month. We will read the book together as a class and then each student will be able to bring their book home to add to their at home library. My hope is that these books will inspire my students to read with their families and develop an individual love of reading. My target is to raise $250 to purchase a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books to send home with students.
