My name is Amber, and this is 6th year teaching. I taught special education for 5 years, but I am now teaching general education, in 1st grade. Coming from special education to the general education classroom, my classroom library doesn't have the selection of books I'd love to have to help my students have a love of reading. 1st grade is such an important year for reading, as these littles are learning to read. If they can find books that interest them as they are learning to read, it will promote a lifelong love of reading. The funds I will get with this campaign will allow me to grow my classroom library so every student can find books to love and help me with classroom library organization, to make it easier for my students to find something they find interesting.
