Teacher Charmaine Palmer
I teach STEM to Kindergarten through 5th grade students in Atlanta, where curiosity and creativity drive our learning. Science leads our program, but we explore all areas of STEM—engineering, technology, and math—through hands-on projects and problem-solving. This year, we are launching a construction program and continuing to grow in computer science. To support these efforts, I want to build a classroom library filled with engaging, age-appropriate books and magazines that spark interest in STEAM careers, explain scientific concepts, and connect fiction to STEM themes. Titles like The Wild Robot and Iggy Peck, Architect show students how imagination and science work together. I also want books that highlight diverse innovators and real-world applications of STEM. Your support will help put more books in kids’ hands—books that inspire future engineers, scientists, and coders. Every dollar raised will go toward purchasing Scholastic titles that make STEM exciting and accessible for all of our learners.
