How to use this product:
Why Silent Reading Is Not Enough (Read-Aloud!)
Silent reading does not teach students to read with expression, use voice inflections, or adjust their rate of reading to reflect the content. Nor does it offer any information about the student’s awareness of punctuation. When reading independently, many young readers may fail to pause for commas or quotation marks or stop for periods, which can impede their ability to make meaning of the text.
