Lessons include step-by-step directions, easy-to-read legends, glyph patterns, and activities—such as using the glyphs to create graphs, charts, and Venn diagrams—that enhance and extend learning. Connects to NCTM standards!
How to use this product:
The activities in this book are designed with the busy teacher in mind: all you need is a copier and a few classroom materials. The glyphs are presented season by season, beginning with fall, but you can do the activities in any order, or pick and choose those particularly relevant to your curriculum. (For instance, you’ll find a ladybug glyph in the summer section, but you might use it during an insect theme in spring.) You’ll also find an Anytime section with glyphs appropriate for any time of year!
