The lessons learned this year have been many. We were largely apart and yet, often, never felt closer. We found unexpected bright spots among some of the darkest moments. And one thing, in particular, became astoundingly clear—teachers, librarians, and educators are essential, and our education and library systems are paramount to our society's stability and sustainability.
