Build the foundation for early reading success!
Building Language for Literacy? is a research-based program that develops children's oral language and early literacy skills, and can serve as the basis for your early literacy curriculum or can be integrated with a current one.
Authored by Catherine Snow, Ph.D. and Susan Neuman, Ed.D., Building Language for Literacy prepares children for reading success using high-quality literature, songs and poems, and rich vocabulary. In addition, our three original language-loving characters Nina the Naming Newt, Reggie the Rhyming Rhino, and Leo the Letter-Loving Lobster will motivate learning and equip children with foundational literacy skills.
The unique structure for Building Language for Literacy centers around "Places" in the community that provide children with real-world connections and allow teachers to foster children's awareness in other curriculum and content areas.
