Building Language for Literacy is a research-based program that develops children's oral language and early literacy skills, and can serve as the basis for your early literacy curriculum or can be integrated with a current one.

A component of the Building Language for Literacy program, Reggie the Rhyming Rhino is one of three language-loving characters that help teach good literacy behaviors and motivate learning. Sweet and friendly Reggiehe loves sounds, so he sings and plays rhyming games all the time. Reggie's Song and Poem Charts are poster-size and feature beautiful illustrations of 4 songs and 3 poems. The songs and poems are fun, interactive, and educational. Used independently, these decorative charts help children build language skills by playing with sounds, connecting the sounds with letters, using new vocabulary, and developing a sense that print carries a message.
