Biography:

Beth Sycamore, a Chicago-based freelance writer specializing in materials for children and teachers has been working in education for more than 20 years. She holds a Masters Degree in Teaching from National Louis College and completed post-graduate work at Teacher's College, Columbia University. As a teacher, Beth designed and implemented innovative early childhood curriculums in emergent literacy and mathematics and later developed and marketed a wide range of products for a variety of educational publishers. She has also conducted seminars on literacy learning, children's literature, and activity-based math programs throughout the U.S. This is her first book for Scholastic Teaching Resources.
