We’re taking a break from our usual newsletter format this month to address the ever-evolving learning landscape in which we now all find ourselves.
Rather than focusing on content, we thought it would be most helpful to direct you to a number of resources we have to help you, your colleagues, and families build or implement distance learning plans as seamlessly as possible.
BookFlix offers a number of tools to help raise awareness, address access issues, guide thoughtful usage, and support families learning at home together, including:
| |
|
- A Best Practice Guide to help educators and families understand the variety of ways BookFlix can be used at home or for remote learning.
- These customizable parent letters in English and Spanish will help simplify at-home outreach efforts.
- This Parent Tips handout provides caregivers recommendations for using the various features of BookFlix.
- Contact your administrator or [email protected] for your remote access credentials if you do not have them.
- Share this URL and your remote access credentials with your families to access BookFlix from home if you do not have an access point already set up on your school’s digital resources page.
- This short video will remind educators that BookFlix is enabled with Google Classroom integration.
- This ready-made image can be used in your BookFlix outreach efforts, including social feeds.
- Scholastic has also created a Learn at Home website that we encourage you to share with families. New content is added weekly to keep kids academically active and challenged.
